I get it, sometimes people are upset with the System. But these endless riots after what is perceived to be wrongful actions by the Police have to stop. Is Ferguson still going on?
Now Baltimore, to tell the truth I didn't follow this story, now its hard not to. I just watch a 'hero' in a pink hoodie cut a 38mm hose which was being used by firefighters to put out a fire at a CVS. It is being reported that the firefighters are getting rocks and crap thrown at them. The Police are being tried and convicted before an investigation is even started. If you were to do this to one of the rock throwers, well lets not go there, there'd be more riots.
I wish community leaders, elected and non-elected would clamp down on this; Sharpton can stay at home. I pray that all first responders get to go home at the end of this. And most of all I pray for an end to this.
15 law enforcement personnel injured so far. I feel that this situation is being much more organized by the criminals than most previous similar incidents. They are spreading themselves out, making it hard to isolate them. They are hitting in areas further out from the main core of the trouble in what appears to be an effort to stretch resources so thin that it is difficult to maintain control anywhere but one area at a time. As soon as we leave, they return. I believe the Mayor is going to receive a lot of criticism for her inactions on this. I say that ASSUMING (yeah, I know the saying) that like most Municipal LE Agencies, that the Mayor is over the Police Department. I know our previous Mayor made sure everyone knew that. This mess in Baltimore is pretty disgusting. There is no act being done in effort to bring Justice for the death of Freddy Gray. There is just a group of people that are going to take advantage of raw emotions and the fact that law enforcement is under such a huge microscope, that LE is walking a very thin tight rope trying to do their job, but not "offend" someone and actually bring back order. The piece of crap stabbing fire hoses needs to have a fire hose nozzle planted squarely to the side of his head.
Very insightful comments from both of you. I'm pretty well disgusted by the whole thing at this point. The investigation of what happened to Gray needs to be done and whatever the aftermath of it is, well, it needs to happen. There is no excuse for this amount of violence and destruction. The people of Baltimore will have to live with the results of the fires, looting, injuries and everything else that is happening. And the blame lies with the ones who engaged in the destruction, not the ones who were peacefully protesting. And that dolt of a Mayor is culpable for her stupid comments even as she tries to backtrack and blame the stupid media. She can't unsay what she said, no matter how hard she tries. The Police have shown tremendous restraint, everything considered. And now I'm hearing of other demonstrations about to happen in other parts of the country. As expected. Any excuse. Now that the National Guard has finally been brought in, maybe they'll get a handle on things and help bring things back to relative normalcy.
Sharpton smells money so he's already making plans to "visit". Again, expected. People will say there is going to be a cover up of what allegedly happened. But people need to realize that those who allege cover up's usually are inclined to cover things up in their own lives and dealings with people. None of us were there so we don't know exactly what happened. The rioters should clean up their own backyards, so to speak, before using this and other similar incidents as a means to loot, steal, burn and destroy their own neighborhoods.

I am getting tired of the argument "If you care more about broken windows than broken spines, you're part of the problem". I saw this all over Twitter and now some friends on FB, who are normally sane.
