I actually agree with you on this! Shock, I know, right?? There's a difference between a good natured joke... ...When they think they've successfully found something, they get soooo disappointed when it's proven not to be the case. OK, I'm getting into soapbox territory here. I should just stop.
First let me say (repeat?) I HATE THIS NEW FORMAT!!!!!!!!! Having said that.....
No, don't stop. To the contrary, you're on a roll, in the right direction. Something did occur to me when reading your comment that "We joke with each other all the time in the gay community..." BEING gay, the majority of us "get it" and know when we are being teased vs when we are being harassed. What worries me is when some candyass complains to a straight "policy enforcer" who takes the complaint at face value because he can't possibly understand the culture "we" live in.
I'm sure that there are more names that they could've mentioned as well. Interesting that in the past week, Hernandez was indicted in two more murders. They were apparently before him signing his big contract.
As for Sam....I'm glad that the reality show has been postponed. It should be totally canceled. He needs to put his nose to the grindstone and concentrate on being a professional football player. Not a media darling. Being a media darling and a reality TV show star would dilute his professionalism in my opinion. Does he want to be a football player or a media star?

I think that can be said about anyone on a reality TV show. Usually those are more like surrealality shows. Let him get a little play time during the season before making up stories about his trials and tribulations. They might find out that there is nothing that special to talk about except whether he wears boxers, briefs or commando (ok, that part could be special.)
