First off I hated 'Boys in the Band' I watched it a couple of times and it was just...well not something I could identify with or would ever want to.
Oscar Wilde said that 'Homosexuality was the love that dare not speak it's name.' Dan Savage said that 'Homosexuality is the love that won't STFU'
Marriage in Canada, I have been to some commitment ceremonies before it was all legal, but I wait by the phone for someone to call me to be Best Man or heaven forbid Groom. Mostly it is not on the event horizon, even the Morman's have STFU. But then they wanted Polygamy approved. Could you imagine what The Gays would do to that? John is married to Paul, who is married to Ringo, George, Marrianne, Mary and Pricilla. Paul is married to Pricilla, John and Ringo - he has a restraining order on George. Ringo, well half the town is married to him.
Regular readers know that I am a "junior-senior," retired, busier now than I ever was before I retired, AND a full-time student (online, MPH, Master of Public Health, University of Liverpool, U.K.) My module 6 (of 8) - module being the term for semesters, being 15 credits - starts tomorrow.
This morning, as is usual for the start of each module, the instructor and students posted a mini-bio of themselves. The instructor gave all his credentials, PhD, MS... various panels for student support, Dissertation adviser, etc.
In the "and outside my professional life, I..." section, the instructor wrote:
Outside work, I live with my civil partner and cat in a suburb of Liverpool. I love travel, films, currrent affairs, eating out, Everton FC, soul and smooth jazz, and the Eurovision Song Contest
GASP! I am overwhelmed! The instructor has my initials and he has a.... CAT!
